June is Scleroderma Awareness Month and throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting various ways organizations are raising awareness of the disease. Scleroderma Aware are using the month to try and get as many people as possible to sign their Scleroderma Aware Pledge.
Scleroderma Aware is a joint venture between the Scleroderma Foundation, the Scleroderma Research Foundation, and Scleroderma Canada. The three non-profit organizations come together each year to help promote awareness of the disease around the world. The Scleroderma Aware Pledge is simply to make other people aware of scleroderma, which can be done in various ways: through social media; by talking to friends, family, and colleagues; or by putting information posters at your school, college or doctors’ offices.
