Sherlene Perkins is the founder of United For Scleroderma Foundation. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Myers University. In January 2020, at the age of 55, Sherlene was diagnosed with scleroderma. While seeking support and doing extensive research on the disease, she discovered several roadblocks in resources and support for people living with scleroderma. She then decided to help fill the gap in the needs of scleroderma patients by starting the United for Scleroderma Foundation.
